Direct Arm Energy Control of the Modular Multilevel Matrix Converter

چکیده

Modular multilevel matrix converter is a type of used in medium-voltage ac-ac power conversion. Controlling the energy content arms prerequisite for proper operation, and at same time challenging control task. So far, there are several approaches presented literature that successfully deal with challenge. However, almost all them fail when it comes to simplicity implementation, ease understanding by engineers researchers entering field. This paper extends direct arm concept, already introduced class modular converters, converter. Presented approach characterized an intuitive simple ability energies arbitrary values, stable operation under operating conditions, including grid imbalances. Validity concept was demonstrated using in-house-developed hardware-in-the-loop simulator converter, algorithms being deployed industrial-grade controller.
